Zoomr is built on a local-first philosophy. We believe your screen recordings and screenshots are your data, and they should stay on your device. We do not upload, process, or store your recordings or screenshots on any server unless you explicitly choose to use the Pro cloud sharing feature.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. This is used solely for account management, authentication, and communication about the Service.

Payment Information: For Pro subscribers, payment details (credit card, billing address) are collected and processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your credit card numbers on our servers.

Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used most often) to improve the Service. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

Cloud-Shared Content (Pro only): If you use the Pro cloud sharing feature to generate shareable video links, the video content is uploaded to our cloud storage. This content is accessible only via the generated link and can be deleted by you at any time.

Local Data: All recordings, screenshots, and project data are stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

Account Data: Account and subscription information is stored in our database (hosted on Supabase) with industry-standard encryption and access controls.

Cloud Data (Pro): Cloud-shared videos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. They are accessible only via unique generated links and can be deleted by the account owner.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Cloud-shared content is deleted immediately upon request or within 30 days of account deletion.
