Before you record
- Figma's canvas is not readable by Zoomr, so private text in designs isn't blurred automatically. Use Alt+click or blur areas.
Record your Figma walkthrough
- Open the file or prototype
in Chrome.
- Record
with voice-over; deep-zoom on details you critique.
- Text callouts
for each piece of feedback.
- Smart Edit (Subtle)
to tighten.
Turn it into a written Figma guide
Toolbar and panel steps are generated normally; clicks on the canvas become "Click the highlighted area", which you can rename in the Guide tab.
Parts of Figma are drawn on a canvas, so Zoomr can't read that text. Guide steps on those areas read "Click the highlighted area", and automatic privacy blur can't detect data there. Use Alt+click (Option+click on a Mac) or an editor blur area for anything private.
Tips for Figma recordings
- Present prototypes in Figma's presentation view for a cleaner recording.
- Record design feedback in short clips per screen.
