Recording a tab

Zoomr records the browser tab you're on: what you see in the page, its sound, your cursor and clicks.

Zoomr records the browser tab you're on: what you see in the page, its sound, your cursor and clicks. Other windows, other tabs and the rest of your screen are never recorded.

Start, pause, stop

Start / stopCtrl+Shift+E (⌘ instead of Ctrl on a Mac), or the popup's Record button
Pause / resumeCtrl+Shift+Y (⌘ instead of Ctrl on a Mac), or right-click the Zoomr icon → Pause
Mute / unmute microphoneAlt+Shift+S (Option+Shift+S on a Mac)
ScreenshotCtrl+Shift+S (⌘ instead of Ctrl on a Mac), or the popup's Screenshot button

While recording, the Zoomr icon shows a timer. It turns orange in the last minute and shows II while paused. Time spent paused doesn't count.

Limits

If the browser crashes

Zoomr saves your recording to disk every second while you record. If Chrome or your computer crashes, the recording is rebuilt the next time Zoomr starts, with your voice and camera, and the popup says "Recovered".
