In Settings → Recording:
- Recording quality (8–80 Mbps): higher means cleaner motion and fewer blocky artifacts, but larger files and more work for your computer. 8–12 Mbps suits most laptops; 16–32 Mbps a strong computer; 40–80 Mbps very large screens.
- Capture smoothness (30 or 60 fps): 60 fps makes cursor movement, scrolling and animations look smoother. Recordings made at 60 fps also export at 60 fps.
