How to add text to a screen recording

1. Move the playhead

   to where the text should appear.

2. Press ＋ Text

   in the Text tab.

3. Type the callout.

   Keep it under 6 words.

4. Choose a style:

   Dark pill, Yellow highlight or Plain. Set the size with the slider.

5. Drag it on the preview

   to place it next to what it describes.

6. Set how long it shows

   with ⇤ Start / End ⇥, or by dragging the block on the timeline's Text & blur row.

Text animates in and out smoothly and is included in every export format.

Writing callouts that work

• Use verbs: "Click Save", "Drag to resize".
• One callout at a time; overlapping text is hard to read.
• Pair with an arrow when the target is small.
